K-pop girl group SECRET member Hyo Seong has been cast in actor Oh Ji-ho’s 10-part drama, the show’s promoter said on Wednesday.

An official with CJ E&M told TenAsia over the phone that Hyo Seong will be acting for the first time in cable channel OCN’s new drama “Cheo Yong” (translated title) set to premiere on October 6.

In the show, going into shoot starting next week, Hyo Seong will play one of the main characters that is a ghost.

The drama itself will center on a cop named Cheo Yong (Oh) who has the ability to touch and see ghosts and he uses it to his advantage to solve crime cases.

Oh, who made his debut in 1998, most recently appeared in hit comedy drama “The Queen of Office,” which ended its run in May, alongside 2AM Jo Kwon and actress Kim Hye-soo.

SECRET, formed of Hyo Seong, Sun Hwa, Ji Eun and Ha Na, were active in the local music scene with their fourth mini-album “Letter From Secret” in April.
