Korean boy group ZE:A member Dongjun has been cast as the lead actor of new web-based drama.

Dongjun will play the leading character of Korean portal website Naver’s webtoon-turned-drama “Aftereffect” (translated title), set to be released next January, according to the show’s promoter Dramatic Talk on Wednesday.

The idol star will take on high schooler named Ahn Dae-young, who gets special talent to observe a murderer and victim after suffering a series of accidents. He later becomes a hero with this foretelling talent.

“We are aiming at producing the drama with strong genre character and distinctive target, just like U.S. online drama ‘House of Cards’ scooping up outstanding directing for dramas at the Emmys,” an official with the show’s producing crew explained.

Dongjun is currently filming a new TV drama, whose title is translated into “Climbing Up Sky Wall,” the sixth drama made for the youth to enhance the understanding of disability, set to hit air on KBS on April 22 next year, the National Disabled Persons Day.
