GOT7 has revealed the visual concept for their upcoming album ahead of the group’s comeback in October.

All eyes have been on the official homepage and the SNS channels of JYP Entertainment – GOT7’s management agency – after two teaser images showing the visual concept for GOT7’s new album, 7 for 7, were posted.

The first eye-catching teaser image shows the members of GOT7 standing in an exotic looking street while sporting hairstyles and outfits that emphasize each member’s individual charm. The image shows the group’s leader JB walking ahead of the group as each member overpowers the atmosphere of the photo with a wistful expression. The second teaser cut features the members standing side by side as the sun is setting in the background and gives off a strong autumnal vibe.

The title song for the upcoming album, which has been slated for release on October 10, is a song written and composed by JB (under his songwriting alias Defsoul) called “You Are”. The previously released tracklist for the seven songs featured in 7 for 7 shows that every member of GOT7 participated in writing and composing the music for the album.

GOT7’s highly-anticipated upcoming album shows how the group has matured and developed as artists. JB in particular has displayed his great potential as a singer-songwriter with “You Are” being the first song that he has written and composed to be selected as a title song for a GOT7 album. He also showed off his musical skills by writing and composing music for the unit group JJ Project, which released an album this past July after a five-year long hiatus.

GOT7’s comeback with the group in its entirety comes after a seven-month hiatus following the release of its mini album FLIGHT LOG:ARRIVAL in March of this year. The release of FLIGHT LOG:ARRIVAL marked the end of the group’s year-spanning promotional activities for the FLIGHT LOG trilogy.

With FLIGHT LOG:ARRIVAL enjoying an enormous amount of success both in Korea and abroad in the first half of 2017 – sales of approximately 330,000 units, landing at the top spot on Billboard’s world albums chart on four occasions – many are waiting to see if 7 for 7 will be able to follow in its predecessor’s footsteps. Aside from its activities with the full group, GOT7 has drawn praise for successfully engaging in diverse activities this year with unit and solo projects.
