Korean actress Lee Yeon-hee has been cast to play a female detective in an upcoming SBS TV series, according to her agency SM Entertainment on Wednesday.

An official with SM told 10Asia over the phone that Lee has been tapped as the female lead in SBS’ drama “Ghost” (tentative title) set to hit airwaves every Wednesday and Thursday nights in May.

Lee will star alongside actor So Ji-sub, who will play the male lead named Kim Woo-hyun. The pair will play detectives who follow after internet crimes in “Ghost,” which is helmed by producer Kim Hyung-sik from TV series “Sign,” “I am a Legend” and “Cain and Abel.”

This will be the second time for Lee to work with So after starring in cable channel OCN’s “U-Turn” together in 2008.

Lee made her debut in 2001 began her acting career by playing a small role in “My Precious Child” (KBS, 2004) and rose to fame after starring in “East of Eden (SBS, 2008) with the Korean heartthrob Song Seung-heon.

Her most recent work was the TV series “Paradise Farm” which also starred TVXQ member Max Changmin.
