Korean idol Lee Joon of boy band MBLAQ will show his acting skills in an ongoing sitcom on KBS, his agency J.Tune Camp told 10Asia on Tuesday.
In KBS’ daily sitcom “Sent From Heaven,” Lee has been set to play an aspiring actor who is going under training period at 2H Entertainment, owned by Cha Sae-joo (played by Cha In-pyo), an official said.
“Lee Joon’s character also has a crush on Chae-hwa (played by actress Hwang Woo seul-hye). He will be a part of the show until May before MBLAQ sets off the group’s Asia tour,” the official explained.
“Heaven” tells the story of fairies named Wang-mo (played by actress Shim Hye-jin) and Chae-hwa (Hwang), who come down to earth to find their wings. After coming to earth, both fairies decide to stay and adjust to human life. The sitcom also stars B1A4’s CNU and actress Woori.
Lee Joon is a rapper in his five-member boy band MBLAQ (Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality). He has starred in teenage series “Jungle Fish 2” (KBS, 2010) and in the film of the same name the following year.
