Big Bang’s T.O.P checked out of intensive care in four days after being admitted for a drug overdose.
T.O.P was released from the intensive care unit at Ewha Womans University hospital located in Mok-dong. He gave a short apology by saying, “I’m sorry” as he was discharged in a wheel chair wearing a mask.
It was reported that T.O.P will move to single room at another hospital. The name of the hospital is currently not being revealed due to his guardian’s request.
T.O.P was indicted without detention on June 5 for smoking marihuana four times at home in Yongsan-gu, Seoul with a singer in training last October before he went into the army. T.O.P, who was transferred to a Seoul police station in the 4th maneuver group to serve as a conscripted policeman was found unconscious from an overdose of benzodiazepine, a tranquilizer used to calm the nerves. Due to this, he was treated in intensive care at Ewha Womans University Hospital’s emergency room in Mok-dong.
On June 9, T.O.P was dismissed from duty because according to the rules of a combat police officer, ‘anyone who has been indicted without detention shall be relieved from their position on the day they receive an official notice’. Therefore, as soon as T.O.P is released from the hospital, he will be sent home. His first hearing is scheduled to take place on June 29.
