G-Dragon, Tops American Billboard World Albums Chart for 2nd Week… First Solo Korean Artist to Do So
G-Dragon is the first solo Korean artist to top the American Billboard World Albums chart for 2 weeks in a row.
On June 19 (local time), the American Billboard published an article titled, “G-Dragon Tops World Albums Chart for 2nd Week to Nearly Double Total U.S. Sales” to reveal the status of G-Dragon’s album named ‘Kwon Ji Yong’.
According to the American Billboard, the album ‘Kwon Ji Yong’ sold 4,000 copies last week and continued to sell 3,000 more the following week to hit a record sale of at least 7,000 copies.
G-Dragon has a record of topping the charts by achieving his best U.S. sales in just one day through the Billboard World Album s chart announced on June 12.
The Billboard Charts introduced this news as, “A first for a Korean solo artist and as a Korean artist who topped the charts for the 2nd week.”
G-Dragon, who is receiving a lot of attention domestically and internationally through the release of his solo album ‘Kwon Ji Yong’, is currently on his world tour ‘ACT III, M.O.T.T.E’. He recently had a concert in Singapore for two days on June 24 and 25 in the ‘SINGAPORE INDOOR STADIUM’.
