‘SMTOWN LIVE’ has successfully completed its first overseas performance in Osaka, Japan.

SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR VI IN JAPAN, which opened at Kyocera Dome in Osaka on July 15 to 16, once again proved SM’s global brand power with a total of 90,000 viewers in two days.

This concert featured SM singers such as Kang Ta, BoA, TVXQ’s U-Know Yoon-Ho, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, F(x)’s Luna, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, Trax, Henry, Sunday, and J-Min. They had an explosive response with about 50 great performances in four hours.

During this concert, on top of the Korean and Japanese hit songs that were performed to show off the individuality of each group, there was a combination of group and solo performances. The group performances included one by EXO’s Chen, Baek-Hyun, Xiumin and NCT-U and there were solo performances carried out by Super Junior’s Ye-Sung, Girls’ Generation’s Tae-Yeon, Tiffany, Hyo-Yeon, Seo-Hyun, SHINee’s Jong-Hyun, F(x)’s Luna, and more to make it a colorful concert.

There were special duet performances that could only be experienced at ‘SMTOWN LIVE’. Some of these performances included a legendary duet by Boa, a singer who has successfully advanced into Japan and TVXQ’s U-Know Yoon-Ho who performed for the first time with Boa since he was discharged from the army. Moreover, other artists such as ‘Gray Paper’ by Kangta and Ye-Sung, ‘Still’ by Sunday and Do-Young, ‘Sweet Dream’ by Kim Hee-Chul and Baek-Hyun, ‘Stay with Me’ by Chan-Eul and Wendy, and ‘Young & Free’ by Xiumin and Mark also performed duets. The SM artists who are currently active in Japan communicated with the local fans in fluent Japanese to get loud cheers from the audience.

The audience enjoyed the stage enthusiastically as they stood on their feet to sing along to the songs and cheered loudly in the crowd. Moreover, the wristwatch-type fan lights that were remotely controlled by frequencies made the stage fancier with colorful lights.

‘SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR VI JAPAN’ is going to continue their tour fever in Tokyo Dome City in Japan from July 27 to 28.
