Red Velvet is expected to perform “Red Flavor” and “Bad Boy” next month in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang during a concert that will feature performances from a troupe of South Korean pop stars.
According to an official from the concert organizing committee, “Red Velvet’s ‘Red Flavor’ and ‘Bad Boy’ have been chosen to be performed at the concert.” As the only idol group among the list of performers, Red Velvet is expected to fire up the audience during their set.
“Red Flavor” was the title track of Red Velvet’s summer album titled The Red Summer, which was released in July 2017. The dance track is notable for its lyrics which compare love to the color red. “Bad Boy” is the title track from the repackaged edition of the group’s second full-length album. The R&B dance number describes the precarious emotions between a man and a woman who are drawn to one another.
Red Velvet and the remaining eight teams that will make up the South Korean troupe are scheduled to stay in Pyongyang from March 31 to April 3. Each act will hold two performances at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre and Ryugyong Jong Yu Yong Gymnasium. The concert on April 1 will only feature the South Korean singers, while the April 3 concert will be a joint performance that will bring together the artists from both countries.
