Mnet announced on May 14 that it would be doing a “live broadcast of the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, one of the top three music award shows in the US, at 9 a.m. on the 21st (KST).”

The 2018 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) will be taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

BTS, who won the award for Top Social Artist at the BBMAs last year, will be performing at the ceremony this year. The boys of BTS are the first Asian artists to make their comeback on the BBMA stage.

The lineup for this year’s awards includes Dua Lipa, Camila Cabello, Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, and John Legend. Janet Jackson will also be on stage for her first live performance in nine years.

After battling it out at this year’s Grammy Awards for Record of the Year, Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars will be going head-to-head once again for the Top Artist award at the BBMAs.

BTS has once again been nominated in the category of Top Social Artist, which is the same award they beat out Justin Bieber for last year.

Singer Yoon Sang, broadcaster Ahn Hyun-mo, and critic Kang Myeong-seok will be providing commentary for Mnet’s live broadcast.
