On August 18, 2016, CL released a single titled “LIFTED” and became the first Korean solo female artist to enter the Billboard Hot 100. Apple Music also selected CL as their New Artist of the Week upon the release of the single. In the same year, the multi-talented singer held her first North American tour which took her to nine different cities.
