Rapper Beenzino, who completed his mandatory military service on February 17, will be taking part in Hiphopplaya Festival 2019 as a headliner. The recently discharged rapper will be performing on the second day of the two-day event, which will be taking place in April (April 27-28).
According to a source from the festival’s organizer, Hiphopplaya, “Beenzino, who has completed his military service, has chosen to perform his comeback stage at Hiphopplaya Festival 2019. He will be co-headlining the second day of the festival along with E Sens. There are high expectations for the performances of these two artists who represent Korean hip-hop.”
The last time these two hip-hop artists shared the same stage was when E Sens and Beenzino performed “Writer’s Block” at “Day & Night: The Last Concert in Seoul” – Beenzino’s last solo concert before he enlisted for the military.
Hiphopplaya previously unveiled the initial lineup for the festival, which featured musical acts such as Zico, Dean, and E Sens. Zico, Dean, DPR LIVE, pH-1, and Colde will be performing on Saturday, April 27. With the announcement of Beenzino joining the initial lineup scheduled to perform on Sunday, April 28, which include artists such as E Sens, Changmo, and SUPERBEE, the excitement for this year’s festival has been building.
General tickets for Hiphopplaya 2019 will become available for purchase on February 19 at 7 p.m. (KST) on Melon Ticket, Interpark, WeMakePrice, and KLOOK. Additional artists are expected to join the lineup.
