NCT 127 has expanded their world tour and will be going into North America.
Starting with a show at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on April 4, NCT 127 will be performing a total of 12 shows in 11 cities which also include Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Phoenix, Houston, Chicago, San Jose, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Toronto.
The 11 cities that have been added to NCT 127’s tour are the most for any Korean boy group that has toured in North America. NCT 127’s concerts are expected to feature powerful performances to go with their sensuous music and sophisticated stage presentations.
The group will also reportedly be taking part in promotional activities in North America during their tour.
NCT 127’s world tour, “NEO CITY – The Origin,” kicked off in Seoul in January and is in the midst of going around to different regions and cities in Japan, including Osaka, Hiroshima, Ishikawa, Hokkaido, Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Saitama. In addition to Asia and North America, the tour is expected to expand to Europe and other regions in the Americas.
In 2018, NCT 127’s US debut album, NCT #127 Regular-Irregular, came in at No. 86 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and topped the iTunes albums charts in 22 countries. They also made several public appearances in the US last year, including on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and the red carpet of the 2018 American Music Awards.
The repackaged edition of Regular-Irregular, titled NCT #127 Regulate, allowed NCT 127 to shoot to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales faster than any other K-pop boy group in history, and also got them to the top of Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart. .
