Actor Park Bo Gum will reportedly be starring in a new film tentatively titled Seo Bok.
The announcement has garnered interest as the new film is the actor’s immediate follow-up project to the hit tvN drama Encounter. It also marks Park Bo Gum’s return to the big screen after 2015’s Coin Locker Girl.
Seo Bok revolves around a former intelligence agent named Gi Heon (Gong Yoo), who is on the verge of death, and the world’s first human clone who holds the secret to eternal life (Park Bo Gum). The film will follow the two characters as they find themselves in danger as a result of the numerous forces that are in pursuit of the human clone. Seo Bok has already been piquing interest as it will be the first Korean film to deal with the topic of human cloning.
The fact that Park Bo Gum will be taking on a character and film created by director Lee Yong Joo makes this casting news all the more exciting. Lee Yong Joo previously received praise from both moviegoers and the critics for his incredible attention to detail in Living Death and Architecture 101.
Principal photography for Seo Bok is expected to begin this April.
