BTS has officially started the countdown to their comeback by releasing their comeback trailer today (March 28).

BTS unveiled “Persona,” the comeback trailer to their upcoming brand-new album MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA, via their official YouTube channel.

The music video for “Persona,” which is the intro track for the new album, features group leader RM rapping solo for the song.

RM shows off his one of a kind charisma as he delivers brilliant rap verses and flashy gestures, all while trying to answer the question, “Who am I?” The 2D animated graphics that pop up in time with RM’s gestures and the camera angles that move according to his movements add to the dynamic feel of the video.

The video also features a 3D scanned humanoid robot that was created to depict RM’s persona. The gigantic RM persona was brought to life through motion capture and CG technology.

“Persona” is a hip-hop track with a rhythmical guitar sound and trap beats. The song samples the beat from another BTS song called “Skill Luv Affair” – the intro track to their album of the same name which was released in February 2014.

BTS’s new album, MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA, will be released worldwide on April 12. The first comeback performance for the album is scheduled to take place in the US on April 13 on NBC’s SNL.
