Taeyeon from the K-pop group Girls’ Generation has had a successful start to her first solo Japanese tour.

Her solo tour, TAEYEON JAPAN TOUR 2019 ~Signal~, opened on April 13 at the Fukuoka Sunpalace.

With all six initially scheduled shows of the hotly anticipated tour selling out, the decision was made to add an additional date in Tokyo, which brings the total to 7 shows in 4 cities that Taeyeon will be performing in for the tour.

The audience for the tour’s first show were spellbound as they beheld Taeyeon’s sensational live vocals and multifaceted performances. In addition to singing her newest single, “Four Seasons,” which swept the charts upon its release, Taeyeon also performed popular hits like “Something New” and “Rain” and Japanese singles such as “Stay” and “I’m The Greatest.” The vibrant music and Taeyeon’s charm that were put on display as she performed the 21-song set drew explosive cheers from the audience.

Taeyeon also performed songs from VOICE – her first Japanese EP scheduled to be released on June 5 – for the first time. The audience was clearly thrilled with getting the chance to be the first to listen to 6 new tracks from the songstress. The songs included the album’s title track “VOICE,” “HORIZON,” “SIGNAL,” and more, which allowed the crowd to fully enjoy Taeyeon’s captivating voice.

The next stop for the tour will be at the Osaka International Conference Hall on April 22 and 23.
