Actress/singer Sooyoung will be taking part in a campaign yet again for the visually impaired.

Beaming Effect is a brand that aims to raise awareness about retinis pigmentosa (a genetic disorder that causes loss of vision) and funds research to find the cure for this incurable disorder. The brand’s profits are donated to Korean Foundation Fighting Blindness, which is a foundation that was established by Sooyoung’s father.

As a supporter of her father’s foundation, who suffers with retinis pigmentosa himself, Sooyoung helps and takes part in the foundation’s activities. She also donated her acting talents to a drama called Perfect Sense, which was produced to raise awareness about disabilities and highlighted the disorder itself. Sooyoung also recently donated her talents in other ways by narrating the film The Poem, My Old Mother and 2018 Human Documentary: Love.

The new pictorial that was unveiled for Beaming Effect this season shows clothing that was designed by Sooyoung and stylist Seo Soo Kyung, who has been with Sooyoung since her days in Girls’ Generation.

Sooyoung starred in the recently released Memories of a Dead End – her first leading role in a movie – and will also be appearing in the film Girl Cops, which is scheduled to premiere this coming May.
