NCT 127 has officially opened the doors to their first North American tour.
On April 24 at 8 p.m. (local time), NCT 127 kicked off their NEW CITY: USA – The Origin tour with a show at the Prudential Center in New Jersey. The unique music, dynamic choreography, and sensational stage direction of the concert concert drew a fervent response.
The group performed a 23-song setlist for the three-hour show, which included songs such as “Fire Truck,” “Limitless,” “TOUCH,” “Simon Says,” “Come Back,” “Chain,” “Fly Away With Me,” “Wake Up,” and “Good Thing.”
What especially drew the attention of the audience was the unveiling of two songs from NCT 127’s upcoming EP, NCT#127 WE ARE SUPERHUMAN, which is scheduled to drop on May 24. The songs that were performed were the album’s title track, “Superhuman,” and “Jet Lag.”
The audience reportedly sang along to all of the songs from beginning to end, and passionately enjoyed their time at the concert by screaming at the top of their lungs. “Your cheers and shouts have filled us with good energy. We think we’re going to have a fun show that will remain in our memories, and we’re excited about the rest of our North American tour. We have a lot more in store for you for this show, so we hope you’re looking forward to it,” said the group.
According to the group’s label, SM Entertainment, hundreds of K-pop fans gathered outside the NCT 127 concert venue on the day of the show to take part in a random play dance event featuring hit songs by NCT 127 and other SMTOWN artists. Fans also participated in the Neopose Challenge where they took and shared photos of themselves making the letter “N” with their bodies for NCT 127.
NCT 127 will be continuing on with their North American tour, which will be making a total of 12 stops in 11 cities across the US and Canada.
