BTS has announced that they will be holding fan meets in Japan this coming November and December.
The announcement was made by the group’s label, Big Hit Entertainment, via their official Japanese website.
According to the announcement, there will be a total of four fan meets. The group will hold fan meets on November 23 and 24 at the Zozo Marine Stadium in Chiba, and on December 14 and 15 at the Kyocera Dome Osaka in Osaka.
Big Hit will be accepting applications from members of BTS’s Japanese fan club for ticket purchase next month, from the 6th to the 16th. The applicants will be entered into a raffle, and the winners will be announced on September 20.
The upcoming fan meets will be extensions of the “BTS 5th Muster [Magic Shop],” the global fan meet that opened in Busan and Seoul last June.
BTS continues to enjoy tremendous popularity in Japan. On August 9, the group received their first Million certification (certification for more than one million physical copies of an album being shipped) from the Recording Industry Association of Japan for their 10th Japanese single, “Lights/Boy With Luv,” which was released in July. The group became the first Korean artists and the first non-Japanese male artists to receive the Million certification.
BTS also previously received the “Platinum” certification (250,000 copies) for their 7th Japanese single, the Japanese version of “Blood Sweat & Tears,” and the “Double Platinum” certification (500,000 copies) for their 8th single, “MIC Drop/DNA/Crystal Snow,” their 3rd Japanese studio album, Face Yourself, and 9th single, “FAKE LOVE/Airplane pt.2.”
