K-pop super group BTS has recently announced that they will be dropping a first single ahead of the release of their new album.
A comeback map for BTS’s 4th studio album, MAP OF THE SOUL: 7, was posted on Big Hit Entertainment’s official Twitter account on January 9.
The comeback map shows a three-dimensional image of several overlapping number sevens, along with a schedule for the group’s upcoming comeback. Kicking off with the January 10th release of the comeback trailer titled “Interlude: Shadow” and ending with the release of the official music video for the new album’s lead single, the map breaks down the group’s comeback schedule into four phases.
The world’s attention has turned to the group’s unconventional comeback schedule, particularly with the release of the first single on January 17 – one month before the release of the album – along with a performance of an art film scheduled for the same day.
In addition to the comeback trailer and concept photos, the items on the comeback map titled “CONNECT, BTS” that appear to be scheduled for cities such as London, Berlin, and Seoul, have further piqued the curiosity of the group’s fans.
BTS’s 4th studio album, MAP OF THE SOUL: 7, will be released worldwide at 6 p.m. KST on February 21.
