EXO’s Lay has become the talk of the town after sweeping Chinese awards shows at the start of the year.

At the 2019 Weibo Night Awards held at the Beijing National Aquatics Center on January 11, Lay took home the awards for Producer of the Year and Male God of the Year (popularity award).

The Weibo Night Awards, which was in its 10th year in 2019, is hosted by China’s largest social media platform, Weibo, and recognizes the achievements of stars who were hot on Weibo throughout the year. Lay was honored with the awards for the producing skills, visuals, and popularity that he received recognition for in 2019.

Lay also received the All-Round Star of the Year award at the 2019 Jinri Toutiao Awards Ceremony, which was held on January 8 at the Cadillac Arena in Beijing. The multi-talented star closed out the ceremony with a performance of his hit song “NAMANANA” for the more than 5,000 audience members in attendance.
