K-pop group TST member Yohan has passed away at the age of 28.
The news broke on June 17 that Yohan had passed away on the previous day. His wake will be held at the Yonsei Severance Hospital Funeral Hall in Sinchon, Seoul; cause of death has not been revealed, per the wishes of his parents and recently bereaved family members.
Up until last month, Yohan had been consistently communicating with his fans via Naver’s V App and other channels. The suddenness of the tragic news has made it even more shocking. Devastated fans have taken to social media to stream “Paradise” and share links of live performances to express their sorrow.
TST’s label, KJ Music Entertainment, has released a statement that reads: “We have some very tragic and unfortunate news to announce today. TST member Yohan has passed away on June 16. His surviving family members are completely heartbroken. His family has earnestly requested that everyone refrain from writing speculative articles about Yohan and his passing.”
They added, “We express our deepest condolences as Yohan takes his final journey.”
Yohan, who was born in 1992, debuted as a member of TST in 2017. Songs released by the group include debut single, “She,” as well as “Mind Control,” “Love Story,” “Paradise,” and “Countdown.”
