K-pop group Girl’s Day recently came together to celebrate the group’s 10-year anniversary.
On July 9, the members of Girl’s Day uploaded group photos of the four girls to each of their Instagram accounts, along with their thoughts and feelings about their anniversary.
“Today marks the 10th anniversary of Girl’s Day. We prepared a very small gift to repay all of you for the constant love and support you have shown us. I won’t forget this feeling of gratitude, and I promise to continue to work hard in the future. Thank you, and I love you,” expressed Hyeri in a handwritten letter.
Yura posted a long letter to her fans, which read: “Today’s is Girl’s Day’s 10th anniversary. The time between our debut in 2010 to 2020 feels like it has passed very, very quickly. I feel as if the time has passed quickly because it has been the happiest and most precious time in my life, and one that I can never forget. It has been a happy 10 years because so many people showed us support and love.”
She continued, “More than anything else, I feel so lucky to have the members by my side, as it was my wish to have siblings when I was younger since I grew up as an only child. I say this every day, but we have to be together forever.”
“Also, to our fans who always root for us from nearby and behind the scenes. I cannot express in words how much gratitude and love I have for you,” wrote Yura. “I will work even harder in the future to show you even better sides of myself. My loves who have made these past 10 years the best ever, thank you so much. We must continue to stay together in the future. Be happy, always.”
“Thank you for giving me strength and being my friends over these many years. I love you,” wrote Sojin. Minah also wrote a brief message that read: “Happy birthday, Girl’s Day. Our 10th birthday, July 9.”
Since making their debut in July 2010, Girl’s Day has received a ton of love for their many hits, which include songs such as “Twinkle Twinkle,” “Expectation,” and “Something.” Although the members made the decision to sign with separate agencies upon the conclusion of their contract with their former shared label, they announced that the group would not be disbanding.
