For days on end, BTS has been showing off their exceptional ability to sell records through their performance on Japan’s Oricon Albums Chart.

According to the newest chart published by Oricon on July 19, BTS’s 4th Japanese studio album, Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~, sold another 11,661 units, bringing the current album sales total to 555,270 units.

Since its release on July 15, the new BTS album has been at the No. 1 spot on Oricon’s daily albums chart for five consecutive days, demonstrating the explosive popularity of the group.

BTS has been breaking records in Japan since the day Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~ dropped. The album has the highest first-day sales of any album released in the country this year, as well as the highest first-day sales of any album ever released by a non-Japanese artist.

The album has also become the group’s most successful Japanese-language album in other countries. Immediately following its release, it became the No. 1 album on the iTunes Top Albums charts in 81 regions, as well as the No. 56 album on the UK’s Official Albums Chart Top 100.

Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~ consists of 13 songs, including the title track, “Stay Gold,” a song co-written by Jungkook titled “Your Eyes Tell,” and the Japanese version of Map of the Soul: 7’s title track, “ON.”
