BoA recently shared her thoughts on reaching a huge milestone in her career – the 20th anniversary of her debut as an artist.
The multi-talented singer took to social media on the 25th to express her gratitude for her fans in a lengthy post.
She wrote: “I feel like it was only yesterday when I started because I liked to sing and dance, but it’s already been 20 years. Time passes so quickly. In a way, it feels like I’m just now becoming an adult as a singer. I feel like I’ve lived much longer as BoA, the singer, than as Kwon BoA. When I was young, everything was amazing and fun, and I would sometimes wonder how much longer this happiness would last. I went full steam ahead out of my love for music and the stage, as well as my gratitude for my fans, and now, 20 years have already passed.”
She continued, “My fans have always waited for me, supported me, and believed in me. They’ve made me think that I need to do even better in the future. Please keep supporting and believing in me until the last day I can sing on stage. To my precious Jumping BoAs, who have been with me for 20 years, thank you and I love you.”
BoA made her debut in 2000 with the album, ID:PEACE B. Following her debut, she released a slew of massive hits throughout her career, such as “NO.1,” “Atlantis Princess, “Only One,” and “Garden In The Air.”
To celebrate her 20th anniversary, BoA interacted with her fans through a livestream event held on SMTOWN’s Naver V Live channel on the 25th.
