BTS, who has been sweeping the Billboard charts, will be meeting with famous South Korean radio host, Bae Cheol Soo, today (September 14) when they appear on Bae Cheol Soo’s Music Camp on MBC Radio.

The producers of the radio program, who have consistently shown their interest and support for the global superstars, immediately launched plans to get BTS on the show by filming a congratulatory video for the group when news broke that their newest single, Dynamite, had made it to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“I wondered if I’d ever get to introduce a Korean artist as the No. 1 artist on the Billboard singles’ chart on Bae Cheol Soo’s Music Camp, and the day has finally come,” expressed an overjoyed Bae Cheol Soo. “As a result, many more listeners have become interested in the Billboard charts and Bae Cheol Soo’s Music Camp.”

Today’s live program will reveal various aspects of BTS as musical artists, such as their achievements in terms of both music and culture, as well as their goals for the future.

“We’re looking forward to appearing on Bae Cheol Soo’s Music Camp, which is the longest running music program in the country, and talking about music,” said BTS regarding their appearance on the radio program. Listeners will also get to hear songs requested by the BTS members themselves, as well as the reasons for the requests.

Although Bae Cheol Soo’s Music Camp has not done a visible radio show in some time, the show will reportedly be doing a livestream of BTS’s visit via MBC Smart Radio mini and MBC Radio’s official YouTube channel. The program has also announced that they will attempt to add real-time English subtitles for the group’s overseas fans.

Since its first show on March 19, 1990, Bae Cheol Soo’s Music Camp has had over 280 non-Korean artists on the show, including Britney Spears, Def Leppard, Deep Purple, Chicago, Christina Aguilera, Oasis, Radiohead, Metallica, Ricky Martin, Dua Lipa, and Mika,

Bae Cheol Soo’s Music Camp airs via MBC FM4U every evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
