With the release of TWICE’s second full-length album just around the corner, the group has announced that member Jeongyeon will be absent from all upcoming promotional activities.

The group’s label, JYP Entertainment, released a statement via TWICE’s official fan community on the 17th, which read: “Jeongyeon is currently experiencing a great deal of tension and anxiety in regard to the promotion schedule. Following a discussion between Jeongyeon and the other members, it has been decided that Jeongyeon needs additional medical treatment and sufficient rest.”

“As the health of our artists is of the utmost importance, Jeongyeon will not be participating in any scheduled activities from here on out, including activities related to the second studio album. We will keep you notified of any future changes.”

TWICE will be releasing their second studio album, Eyes Wide Open, on October 26.

The following is an announcement regarding TWICE member Jeongyeon’s health and her participation in upcoming activities.

Jeongyeon is currently experiencing a great deal of tension and anxiety in regard to the promotion schedule. Following a discussion between the Jeongyeon and the other members, it has been decided that Jeongyeon needs additional medical treatment and sufficient rest. 

As the health of our artists is of the utmost importance, Jeongyeon will not be participating in any scheduled activities from here on out, including activities related to the second studio album. We will keep you notified of any future changes.
