Kang Daniel and Jihyo of TWICE have called it quits on their relationship.
The labels of the two stars, KONNECT Entertainment and JYP Entertainment, made the news official on the 10th when they announced that “after checking with the artists, it was confirmed that they broke up recently.”
Kang Daniel and Jihyo acknowledged that the two were an item in August 2019 and began dating publicly. It was previously reported that the two idol stars met in 2018 through fellow singer, Lim Seul Ong.
From the time Wanna One officially disbanded to when he made his solo debut, Kang Daniel faced numerous ups and downs in his career. Jihyo was supportive each time he faced difficulties and complications. Before the dating rumors were confirmed, Jihyo was seen going over to Kang and showing her support after he had finished a fan showcase.
Although they had gone public with their relationship, Kand and Jihyo were discreet and preferred to keep the details of their 15-month-long relationship private.
According to the news outlet that first broke the story, the two were focused on their individual goals and decided that their respective careers were more important at this time.
Jihyo is currently promoting TWICE’s new single, “I CAN’T STOP ME,” along with the other group members, while Kang Daniel is busy working on his new album.
