CL announced today that she has decided to postpone the release of her new album, ALPHA, to next year.

CL made the announcement on the 16th via social media with a message that read: “I’m currently in the US working on my next project, my album ALPHA, and I’m also getting things prepared for 2021. During my preparations, more wonderful opportunities and ideas emerged, so after much consideration, I’ve decided to change the release date of ALPHA, which was scheduled to drop on November 30.”

CL, who is currently staying in the US, decided to put off the release of her album in order to come out with a better final product.

She went on to say, “I really wanted to keep my promise, but as I made this decision to come back with an even better album, rather than feeling like you’re waiting, I hope you can fill the remaining time with a sense of anticipation!”

CL released the double singles “HWA” and “5STAR” on October 29. “HWA” made it to the No. 3 spot on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart dated for November 14, showing how CL’s popularity among global fans has remained unchanged.
