Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung and rock band YB’s frontman Yoon Do-hyun have been tapped to host SBS’ entertainment news program starting next week.
Sooyoung, whose full name is Choi Sooyoung, and Yoon have been named the new emcees on “One Night TV Entertainment” (translated title) starting June 6, the officials told 10Asia in a brief telephone interview on Thursday.
The two new emcees, especially Yoon, have built a certain amount of experience emceeing programs on TV and radio.
For seven years starting 2002, Yoon was the host of KBS’ evening music program, “Love Letter,” and most recently, he was the emcee of SBS’ auditioning program, “K-pop Star.”
Formerly hosted by Seo Kyung-seok and Yoo In-na, the weekly show kicked off its air in 2004 and is one of the longest-running TV programs in Korea.
