Actress Jang Seo-hee will now pursue her future activities under Korea’s talent agency SPLUS Entertainment.
SPLUS, which outlines the career paths of singer Kim Hyung-jun, actors Lee Ki-woo and Kang Ji-hwan, said in a press release Thursday that Jang has signed an exclusive contract with the firm.
“Jang is one of the most established actresses who can present her acting skills here and the Chinese entertainment industry,” an official from SPLUS was quoted as saying.
“We will support her to the fullest to make her become a symbolic star in Asia.”
Jang Seo-hee is one of the veteran actresses here that made her debut as a child actress in 1981. She has starred in several hit TV series including “Miss Mermaid” (MBC, 2002) and “Temptation of a Wife” (SBS, 2009).
Expanding her acting career into China, she made a strong impression to the Chinese viewers by playing one of the female leads in hit drama “Master Lin in Seoul” [translated title], which began its run on BTV Channel, February 26.
The actress has just finished filming “Heroes of Sui and Tang Dynasties” [translated title], which will hit the airwaves in China next month.
