Major Korean broadcaster SBS is gearing up to take its year-end music show to a whole new level.

The broadcaster’s music program “Inkigayo” revealed last Sunday that it will hold a special concert with most-wanted K-pop stars airing on December 29.

To deliver the news, “Inkigayo” revealed a teaser video of ten K-pop groups being arranged into four new project groups: Dynamic Black, Dramatic Blue, Mystic White and Dazzling Red.

According to the program, male idol stars including 2AM’s Jo Kwon, Jeong Jinwoon, MBLAQ’s G.O., Lee Joon, INFINITE’s Woo-hyun, Hoya, Teen Top’s Niel, L.Joe, BEAST’s Lee Gi-kwang and Yang Yo-seob will join the new experiment.

Female singers, meanwhile, include SISTAR’s Hyolin, Bora, 4minute’s Hyuna, Ga-yoon, Secret’s Jun Hyo-seong, Han Sun-hwa, After School’s Lizy, Nana, KARA’s Nicole and Kang Ji-young.

Under the slogan “The Color of K-Pop,” the show will take votes for about ten days starting November 4, to decide which artist will be assigned to one of the four project groups.

All four teams will each sing a song produced by four of the most trendy songwriters here–Shinsadong Tiger, Sweetune, Brave Brothers and Kim Do-hoon. Profits from online streaming and downloads will be used for donation, according to the officials.

SBS has been hosting the yearly event on December 29 since 1992. In 2007, it made a transition from a music awards to music ceremony to bring people’s attention to more diverse genres of K-pop.
