SHINee Achieves Smooth Debut on Oricon Chart

Top Korean idol group SHINee has made a strong impression in Japan with their new single on the Oricon Chart.

The five-member boy band nabbed the No. 3 position with their seventh Japan single “Fire” on the Oricon daily singles chart on March 13, the same day the group dropped their first new record in three months in the country.

With a total of 28,861 copies sold in one day, the hit single contains the medium-tempo title track “Fire” and a soft ballad song “MOON RIVER WALTZ.”

The “Dream Girl” singers are to host “Fire” Special Showcase at Tokyo’s Zepp Tokyo on April 2 and at Osaka’s Zepp Namba on April 3.

In Korea, the idol band has driven on, grabbing two trophies on Mnet’s live music show “M! CountDown” and another on KBS’ “Music Bank,” with their new title song “Dream Girl.”
