“The Innocent Man” star Song Joong-ki has been chosen as the best actor of 2012 by the strong support of the public.
According to Gallup Korea’s survey results out on Monday, Song ranked at the first place by earning the support of 18.2 percent of 1,700 people, who were asked about the best actor of the year.
Song received rave reviews from viewers with his roles for KBS hit series “The Innocent Man” and record-breaking romance film “A Werewolf Boy” this year.
In the meantime, Kim Nam-joo and Yoo Jung-sang, who starred in one of 2012’s most popular TV series “My Husband Got a Family,” each nabbed the No. 2 and No. 3 title with 12.9 and 9.5 percent of the votes respectively.
While Kim Soo-hyun of the MBC drama “The Moon Embracing the Sun” ranked at the fourth place with 8.2 percent, SBS “Gentleman’s Dignity” actor Jang Dong-gun rounded off the top five after attracting 8.1 percent of the votes.
