Lee Min-woo, member of long-running idol band Shinhwa, njoyed Christmas Eve with his dedicated fans.
Lee, whose stage name is M, opened a 2-day exclusive concert, dubbed “M Lee Min-woo Christmas Live Concert ‘ORIGINAL’,” at Yonsei University in Seoul on December 23 and 24, his promoter the J story said Tuesday.
At his first solo concert in nearly three years, the singer presented powerful performances through his hit songs “Minnovation” and “Don’t Trust Men” as well as “M Style,” Lee Min-woo’s reinterpretation of Psy’s mega-hit tune “Gangnam Style.”
His fans got even more excited when his Shinhwa teammates, Jun Jin and Shin Hye-sung appeared on the stage and showed some strong support for the solo musician. The fans cheered when they announced that the group’s new album is due out next year.
“I wanted to give special Christmas gifts for my fans but it feels more like getting a gift from you guys. Next year is the tenth anniversary since I kicked off my solo singing career under the name ‘M.’ I promise to give you more events to share with you,” Lee expressed his gratefulness for fans.
After the successful sold-out concerts, Lee will hold an exclusive fan meeting “2013 LEE MIN WOO M style SHOW in TAIWAN” in Taipei International Convention Center on January 25, 2013.
