Korean mega star PSY’s “GENTLEMAN” took the winning trophy on MBC’s music program over the weekend.

On “Music Core” aired on Saturday, PSY edged out solo artist K.will, K-pop boy band INFINITE, and the King of Pop Cho Yong-pil to take first place on the weekly music show.

INFINITE’s Sung-yeol said that although they were not able to win, they were honored to be competing with two veteran Korean singers, PSY and Cho Yong-pil.

The members of INFINITE and SHINee danced PSY’s so-called ‘arrogant dance’ for the closing of the show to express their respect to PSY who was not present due to pursuing his activities overseas.

The show also showed the comeback of solo female artist Juniel, K-pop girl group 4minute and boy band SHINee and the comeback of Secret next week was announced.

Other notable artists on the show included HISTORY, Lee Hi, Geeks, Davichi, TEEN TOP, and Electroboyz.
