Korean rock band CNBLUE’s bassist Jungshin will be on a Korean historical drama.
His agency FNC Entertainment announced through a press release on Thursday that he has been chosen to play a swordsman in KBS’s new Wednesday and Thursday drama “Sword and Flower” [translated title].
The show will be a chivalrous intelligence melodrama that tells about a princess who has an inner conflict due to her love for Yeon Gaesomun’s son because Yeon Gaesomun killed her father.
Yeon Gaesomun, a powerful military dictator of ancient Korea, will be played by Um Tae-woong, the Princess Mu-young by Kim Ok-vin and Jungshin a master swordsman who is ice-cold but friendly to the princess and a romantic who follows her around like a shadow to protect her.
The upcoming series will premiere in July, after current show after current Wednesday and Thursday series “The Fugitive of Joseon” ends its run.
Jungshin made his acting debut through drama “My Daughter Seo-young” which ran on KBS for over five months starting last September.
