A 100-Year Legacy

MBC’s weekend series “A 100-Year Legacy” has defended its top place on a weekly TV chart for the fifth week in a row.

The drama was the most-watched TV show of the week between May 27 to June 2 after drawing in an average rating of 28.1 percent, according to AGB Nielsen Korea Media Research on Monday.

Sitting at No. 2 again was KBS’s weekend drama “You Are the Best!,” which nabbed an average rating of 27.3 percent for the same time period. The ratings for the drama is increasing steadily, but not enough to steal the top spot from “A 100-Year Legacy.”

KBS’s daily drama “A Tale of Two Sisters” sat in third place with an average score of 18.6 percent, with the same broadcaster’s prime time news program “KBS 9 o’clock News” following with an average mark of 17.8 percent.

MBC’s fantasy drama “Kang Chi, the Beginning” rounded up the top five with 17.3 percent viewership rating.

Other notable TV programs in the top ten included KBS daily soap “Samsaengi,” SBS reality variety show “The Laws of the Jungle,” MBC weekend series “Pots of ,Gold,” KBS comedy show “Gag concert.” and MBC Sunday variety show “Where Are We Going, Dad?”
