Ha Jung-woo’s new terror flick will close this year’s Puchon film fest, an official of the film fest said on Wednesday.
She told TenAsia over the phone that Ha Jung-woo’s film “THE TERROR LIVE” was chosen as the closing film of the 17th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival [PiFan], held from July 18 to 28.
“THE TERROR LIVE,” set to be released on August 1 in Korea, revolves around a morning radio show host who breaks the news of a terrorist act exclusively.
The unique Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival, first held in 1997, represents marginalized film genres highlighting horror, phycho-thriller, sci-fi, and sexually themed films.
Other notable Korean films invited to the film fest include romantic comedy film “How to Use Guys with Secret Tips,” omnibus scary movie “Horror Stories II,” thriller film “Oldmen Never Die,” superhero film “Southern Superhero Showdown,” and horror film “The Truth.”
