Korean solo artist Rain, discharged from military just last week, will soon hold a fan meeting in Korea and participate in a music festival in Thailand.
Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, will have a fan meeting on August 3 at Seoul’s Kyung Hee University and perform at Thailand’s musical festival “Sonic Bang” on August 24 at Bangkok’s Impact Muang Thong Thani, an official with his agency Cube Entertainment said over the phone on Friday.
However, this does not mean Rain is officially resuming his activities or making a comeback, the official emphasized.
She explained that Rain’s fans, not his agency, are holding the fan meeting for the singer. And he had decided on his appearance in the Thai music festival before signing with Cube in May.
Rain was thought to be making a comeback further more when his old friend and producer C-Luv’s agency D-Business Entertainment announced earlier in the day that C-Luv is producing a song for Rain’s next album.
However, Cube’s official denied that C-Luv is working on Rain’s new album, and added that Rain has no plans to make a comeback at the moment.
Rain, 31, was discharged on July 10 from the military’s Defense Media Agency which will be abolished after a series of cases involving illicit conduct.
