K-pop boy band JYJ member Junsu’s new album has taken the No. 2 spot on the music chart of Japan’s Tower Records for the week of July 15 to 21.
Junsu’s second studio album “Incredible,” dropped last Monday, ranked behind Japanese boy band NEWS and above female solo artist Amuro Namie, Tower Record’s website showed on Wednesday.
Despite the lack of promotion in Japan, the artist’s album had ranked first in terms of overall reservations as well before its release, a statement by Junsu’s agency C-Jes said.
Meanwhile, Junsu kicked off his Asia tour in Bangkok over the weekend, attracting 3,000 fans to the show promoting his new album.
The artist will then perform in Shanghai on July 28, Seoul on August 3 and 4, and Busan on August 10 and 11.
