K-pop heavyweights such as 2NE1’s CL, Kim Tae-woo and Bobby Kim will appear in the pilot episode of SBS’s singing competition for singers, the broadcaster said on Thursday.

An official with SBS told TenAsia over the phone that Korean rock band YB, hip-hop group Dynamic Duo and rookie female artist Lim Kim will also join “Super Match” (translated title) set to premiere in August.

The official then added that the show will go into shoot starting today and the number of episodes and exact premiere date will be decided at a later time.

The talents will be divided into two teams, the senior group and the junior group, and they will compete against each other.

The show will be a mixture of KBS’s music program “Immortal Songs 2″ and MBC’s music program ‘I Am Singer.”
