K-pop girl group T-ara member Hyomin has been cast in a new Japanese film.
Her agency Core Contents Media said through a press release on Wednesday that she was offered the lead role in new film “JINX!!!,” also starring Japanese actors Kurumi Shimizu and Kento Yamazaki.
The film cranked up in March and will open in Japanese theaters this November, her agency added.
Hyomin will play the role of a Korean student who is studying in Japan and she will depict on friendship and love as she befriends two other Japanese students.
The film is directed by director Naoto Kumazawa whose previous films include “From Me to You” (2010) and “Letters from Nirai Kanai” (2005).
Meanwhile, this will be Hyomin’s first time to be in a film since her first horror film “Ghastly” in 2011.
