K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation member Sunny will make an appearance on a variety show starring four veteran actors.

Sunny left for Taiwan today to take part in the recording for cable channel tvN’s variety show “Grandpas Over Flowers,” an official with tvN told TenAsia over the phone on Thursday.

The official then explained that Sunny will appear in one or two episodes of the show sometime in mid- or late-August.

The Friday show has been popular since its premiere the first week of July by showing Korea’s most well-known and respected veteran actors Lee Soon-jae, Shin Gu, Park-Geun-hyung and Baek il-sup backpacking in different countries.

They are called the ‘grandpas’ on the program since they are all nearly or in their seventies, and top actor Lee Seo-jin has been on the show as well, serving as a porter and guide for the four elderly men.

Sunny’s appearance will be anticipated by fans of the show because the first episode had shown Lee Seo-jin agreeing to take part in the show after being told that the program was about traveling with girl group members such as Sunny and 4minute’s Hyuna.
