K-pop girl band Girl’s Day member Minah will be the new face of SBS’s weekly music show “Inkigayo,” replacing former host IU.

Minah has been chosen as new emcee of the Sunday music show and starts her new job this week along with its current hosts Kwanghee of ZE:A and actor Lee Hyun-woo, SBS said through a press release Wednesday.

This is the third TV emcee role for the lead vocalist of Girl’s Day, who showed vigorous activities this year with hits “Expect,” “Female President” and most recently, “Please Tell Me.”

Minah has also been cementing her individual career by making her big screen debut in “HOLLY” this June and confirmed cameo appearances in So Ji-sub’s upcoming rom-com drama “Master’s Sun,” set to premiere next Wednesday.

“Inkigayo,” the live music show which began airing more than two decades ago, has appointed a number of high-profile idols and starlets as its host including IU, Gu Hara and Nicole of KARA, Sulli of f(x), Ku Hye-sun, Han Hyo-joo and Song Ji-hyo.
