Korean actors Lee Bo-young and Ji Sung will tie the knot next month, their agencies said on Friday.
Lee’s agency Will Entertainment and Ji Sung’s agency Namoo Actors said through a press release that the two had been preparing for the wedding since March and will get married on September 27 in Seoul, Korea.
Both fans and public are welcoming the news since the two first officially admitted their relationship in 2007 and had been together since.
Earlier in the day, Lee uploaded a handwritten letter on her official fan site and delivered news of her marriage to her fans first.
“I’m getting married on September 27. You are going to give your blessings, right? I’m sorry that I am spoiling the lingering image you may have of Hye-sung and Su-ha (the two characters in Lee’s drama “I Can Hear Your Voice”) but I have a tight schedule to prepare for the wedding so I am telling you now. I wanted to tell you the news in June and take my time preparing for it but I came across a project that I didn’t want to miss on so my schedule is tight…”
Ji Sung uploaded a handwritten letter on his fan page as well, saying, “As you all know I have been in a good relationship with Lee Bo-young since 2007 and I am going to get married this September. I’m sure a lot of you were expecting it to happen.”
Lee Bo-young, who debuted in 2003, shot to stardom in KBS drama “Seoyoung, My Daughter” and her popularity soared recently with smash hit SBS drama “I Can Hear Your Voice,” also starring Lee Jong-Suk, which ended its run just last night.
Ji Sung, who debuted in 1998, has been in numerous dramas and films including romantic comedy film “Whatcha Wearin” and thriller film “Blood Rain.”
