Korean actress Ku Hye-sun is opening a private exhibition in China next Saturday.
Ku is flying to Shanghai for the opening ceremony of the exhibition next Saturday, which will run at the Korean Culture Service Shanghai until August 31, according to her agency YG Entertainment’s press release Tuesday.
Right after the opening ceremony, Ku will join an event with China’s underprivileged children and gifted students in art, where she will paint and share meaningful conversations with them.
Dubbed “Everything that leaves a yearning is beautiful,” her second overseas exhibition after joining the Hong Kong Contemporary this May, the upcoming exhibition will consist of 20 of Western paintings showing Ku’s personal and mental world of art.
The multi-talented actress, also a film director, author and singer-songwriter, held her first private exhibition “Tango” in Seoul in 2009. Her second local exhibition last September was a success too, and she donated all profits she saw to low-income leukemia patients.
The “Boys Over Flowers” star has focused on her non-acting career this year, also rolling out two self-produced single albums in May and July.
