K-pop girl group SISTAR’s member Dasom has been offered a female leading role in KBS’s upcoming daily drama.
Dasom is one of candidates for female lead role as a musical actress in upcoming KBS’s daily series “Kong-ga-ne Batt-ga-ne” [Romanized Korean], an official with her agency Starship Entertainment told TenAsia over the phone Wednesday.
“We had a meeting with production crew of the drama. But I think a number of actresses has held a meeting with them. We have no idea about who is going to take on the role,” the official with Starship said.
Industry insiders reported that if Dasom takes on the role, it would be a big chance for the idol star to increase her level of awareness greater since the daily series’s time slot of 8:25 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. is known for its high ratings score and loyal viewership.
Written by scriptwriter Hong Yeong-hee of “Reaching for the Stars,” the upcoming family drama is set to center around three different families, whose members become realize the true value of family and regret their wrongdoings to others.
The series is slated to hit air from early November as the follow-up to current series “A Tale of Two Sisters,” which is in negotiations with extending 15 more episodes.
Last year, the 20-year-old singer made her small screen debut with KBS’s daily sitcom “Family” (translated title), co-starring Hwang Shin-hye, Park Ji-yoon, Park Hee-bon, Choi Woo-shik, Sim Ji-ho and Park Seo-joon.
