Korean solo artist Jung Joon-young will finally release his debut tune next week.
Jung will be releasing on October 1 with the debut tune, whose title and genre have not been unveiled yet, the artist’s agency CJ E&M stated through a press release Tuesday.
The singer released a teaser of the upcoming tune through CJ E&M’s official YouTube channel the same day, giving clues of the song.
In mysterious and dark background, the clip draws attention with its dreamy atmosphere with Jung’s strong voice, singing the tune’s highlight part “I can’t remember.”
“Jung and producing crew monitored and recorded uncountable times to produce a satisfying album,” the album’s producing staff was quoted as saying.
The artist gained much popularity through Mnet’s popular talent show “Superstar K 4” last year. While the program’s winner Roy Kim gained much popularity by releasing “Bom Bom Bom” and “Love Love Love” this year, Jung chose to take rest and prepare more.
Jung recently joined MBC’s variety show “We Got Married” as a new virtual couple with actress Jeong Yumi this month. The first episode of the new couple hit airwaves last Saturday.
