KBS’s weekend drama “King’s Family” grabbed its fourth crown by taking the top spot of weekly TV charts.
The 50-part TV series secured its crown after attracting an average viewership of 29.3 percent during the week of September 23 and 29, AGB Nielson Korea showed on Monday.
KBS’s daily drama “A Tale of Two Sisters” took the runner-up spot after drawing in an average rating of 24.9 percent. Although the broadcaster extended its daily drama series for three weeks further, the series is still struggling at the second spot.
Actor Joo Won’s medical drama “Good Doctor” nabbed number three with an average mark of 20.6 percent.
With only four more episodes left to end its run, the successful drama will pass the baton to up-coming drama “Marry Him If You Dare,” starring Yoon Eun-hye, Lee Dong-gun and Jung Yong-hwa of K-pop band CNBLUE.
KBS’s news program “KBS 9 o’clock News” and So Ji-sub’s romcom “Mater’s Sun” each followed at the fourth and fifth spots with average marks of 18.8 percent and 18.7 percent, respectively.
Other notable programs that were enjoyed last week include KBS’s comedy program “Gag Concert,” MBC’s variety show “Where Are We Going, Dad? / Real Man,” MBC’s weekend drama “The Scandal,” MBC’s variety program “Infinite Challenge” and KBS’s cultural program “Love in Asia.”
In the meantime, TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistic) showed the top three programs in the same order, while the fourth spot went to “Mater’s Sun” followed by “KBS 9 o’clock News” at the fifth spot.
